Baby Things and the Very Attractive Blue Boiler Suit #LittleLoves

So I’m late with Little Loves again this week! The end of the week didn’t quite go to plan with me catching a sickness bug and the builders we’d been waiting on since September completely cancelling on us and leaving us back at square one! It was definitely a week that requires some positivity so I wanted to make sure I caught up with my Little Loves.

Last weekend we made a start on decorating our bedroom and while its very slow progress I do feel like the end is in sight. So far all we’ve done is the white base coat so it will be a couple of weeks until we’re back in there as we (Tom) need to attach and paint all of the skirting board and picture rail, paint the walls our chosen colour (if we ever decide) and re-assemble all of the furniture, and with only weekends to work on it will take some time.

Yesterday my Mum and Dad drove over with a car jam-packed full of baby things that they’d been storing at their house. So we now have a pram, car seat, isofix base, cot and chest of drawers which is super exciting and definitely cheered me up at after the rubbish end to the week.

This week I…

The instructions for how to assemble our new pushchair! Well, kind of, there weren’t really many words and we pretty much just winged it with only a few references to the instructions, but it was the most reading I’ve done this week. It was literally like Christmas Day, I was so giddy and there were so many packages.

Please excuse the terrible quality of photos this week…

We watched the last episode of Better Call Saul this week, we thought it was the last ever season but when the ending was a bit of a cliff-hanger a quick Google told us that there will be another season next year which we’re really pleased about!

I also watched A LOT of Coronation Street while I was off poorly. Tom doesn’t watch it so I always get really behind and catching up kind of felt like I’d achieved something with my couple of days on the sofa…

I made myself feel a little better after the house disappointment by making the living room a nicer space. Getting out a few of our trinkets and fairly lights and moving out the unpacked boxes has made it feel a lot more homely and cosy.

This very attractive blue boiler suit while helping with the painting last weekend. I couldn’t do much without getting a really achy back though.

I’ve been making an effort to listen to some hypnobirthing tracks again this week, I really need to make some more time for it with only 6 and half weeks to go!

And lastly…

A bit of a slow Sunday happening over here today. Tom is decorating and I have a life admin list to work through. The day didn’t get off to the best start when I woke up at half 4 for no reason and just couldn’t get back to sleep, so I’m hoping that after ticking some things off my to-do list there will still be time for a film on the sofa. A busy week ahead including two parents evenings so I also want to get organised and cook some meals for the week.

I hope you have a great week x

I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.

  1. Oh I do hope this week has been a better one for you. At least you had the fun of all the baby things to cheer you up. Gosh, I remember setting up the pram and doing all those things for the first time. It’s just so exciting! xx
