Bear Biscuits, A Face Mask and a Strike #LittleLoves

Ohhh I’m tired this week! Being back at work is still a real shock to the system. We met our baby niece at the weekend which was just so lovely but other than that its just been a pretty average week really, but still with lots of things to love.

This week I…

I’ve been dipping in and out of The Little Book of Lykke still this week and I’ve also started The Yorkshire Pudding Club – its not really a ground-breaking or must-read novel but its about pregnant women in Yorkshire so seemed fitting!

We’ve been watching and really loving Strike on BBC1 over the past few weeks. Its about a private detective and until I just had a little google because I couldn’t remember its name I didn’t realise that the books it’s based on were written by J.K. Rowling under pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Both Tom and I have enjoyed watching this and feel like its really well written as well as well cast, unlike a few other things we’ve watched recently where the casting has annoyed us!

Some bear biscuits with my class. Well we decorated them more than made them! We’ll be eating them on our Teddy Bear’s Picnic this morning, fingers crossed for dry weather! Its the closest I’ve got to baking this week as I didn’t get round to baking of Bake Off this week!

Goggles and a face mask to help Tom to put the new ceiling up at the weekend. Don’t worry though I was very careful and didn’t do any heavy lifting or much climbing!

I heard Pink in the Live Lounge this week and despite never really being a particular fan of her music I’ve had ‘Who Knew’ stuck in my head ever since, and I seem to know lots of the words! I also heard some exciting but secret news from a friend – eek!

And lastly…

We have no major plans this weekend apart from more work around the house. That suits me just fine as I’m sure there will be lots of time to relax too which is just what I need after a busy week and lots of travelling last weekend.

I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.

  1. I’ve seen the Little Book of Lykke everywhere at the moment and I’m intrigued! Aww those bear biscuits are so adorable – my daughter would love to make them 🙂 #LittleLoves

  2. Love that biscuit! I may even attempt to make some with my 5 year old (my creative skills are pretty much at reception class level so hopefully I’ll be able to do them justice). I picked up the Little Book of Lykke this week and am loving it so far. Hope you get a well-deserved rest this weekend x

  3. I love making things with my students, I pretend I’m simply doing it to show them what to do but I love doing something creative. Hope the DIY continues to go well this weekend, exciting times for you.

  4. I hope it stayed dry for your teddy bears picnic. I always make the best things with the children at work and then never get around to trying it out with Olivia at home.

  5. Loving the mask hun. I need to read the little book of hygge just finsihed the little book of lykke it’s a fab read. Probably should have read them the other way around. Sounds like a lovely week. #littleloves
