Why hello Friday. I hope you’ve all had a good week. Last weekend we had a much needed lazy one which was just what we needed. It was mainly spent at home with a little trip out to the cinema. I was then in a good place to start the week, which was lucky as I took my class on a school trip on Tuesday which always feels like at least two days long.
I haven’t taken as many photos this week as I did last week but there have been some things that I really really loved this week.
This week I…
Read
I started Boy, Snow, Bird on Sunday and am LOVING it. I read over half on Sunday and have been reading a little more every night so am nearly done. Its actually a re-telling of Snow White which I’d forgotten until half way though when it said ‘Snow is not the fairest of them all’ at the end of part 1. I think its really clever and beautifully written. It looks at race inequality in America in the 50s as well as exploring relationships within step families and the bond between sisters.
Its almost a little rambly, in a good way. It keeps you reading. I guess by that I mean that it flows well. The narrator switches for each part which changes the tone slightly. I am really enjoying reading it and can’t wait to finish it this weekend.
Made
Honey and lemon again as this end of this cold seems to be seriously lingering. I’m starting to wonder if the congestion may now be past of a sinus infection of some sort. I’m hoping taking it easy this weekend might be enough to shift it.
I also made pancakes again because once I have the taste for them that’s it, and some plans for March too, including booking trains to meet my friend Sarah for shopping in Birmingham (its half way between our houses!).
Watched
Logan, another real hit for me this week. I wasn’t too bothered to go and see it but Tom wanted to watch it and we hadn’t been to the cinema for ages and I’m so glad we did. It was a great story, some good action scenes and a bit of a tear-jerker at times. It’s quite long but didn’t feel it and I managed to stay awake for the whole thing, despite feeling very sleepy before we went!
Wore
I’m loving this blush pink sweatshirt from Primark. So soft and comfy and a bargain at £5. A nice change from my usual grey too.
Heard
Some compliments from children in my class…
‘I like your top’
‘I like your jumper’
‘I like your moustache’…
Hmm ye thanks…
And lastly…
I’ve stuck with my DECHOX for British Heart Foundation so far. Its not been easy and I’m definitely eating a lot more sweets that I normally would. I plan to try and have a healthier week next week! You can read more about it on my post here, sign up here, and sponsor me here! No chocolate for the whole of March, I’m pretty impressed I’ve survived the first 10 days if I’m honest.
We have another pretty relaxing weekend planned with a few house viewings booked in too.
I hope you all have a good week. I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.
Lovely post! I really enjoyed reading it and I love your sweatshirt!

Sorry to hear that your cold seems to be lingering, they are never ending. I really like the colour of your sweatshirt, just £5! complete bargain!
I do like how you style your photos they are beautifully presented and thought through ( whilst for me its a quick snap on my iPhone!) Your compliments made me smile, I work with ASD students and they say it as it is too.
That’s so kind of you to say, I’ve been working on my photos! x
The ‘I love your moustache’ comment made me laugh! I should write down all the things that teenagers say to me on a daily basis, no one would believe me, haha! That jumper is a gorgeous colour, I may have to pop to Primark soon…enjoy your week xx
Gorgeous flat lays love the sound of this book too. Adding to my list. I get so many great reads from this linky it’s fab. Although I need more time to read to catch up with everyone. Bargain top can’t beat those. hope you had a great weekend #littleloves
Love that sweatshirt. I popped into Primark yesterday but didn’t spot anything. I totally would have picked up that sweater if I’d seen it. Hope you’ve managed to fully shake off that cold lovely x
