I can’t believe its Little Loves time again already! I feel like I’m saying this a lot at the moment but really I don’t know where the weeks are going. The days feel quite busy and long but then all of a sudden Friday is here again. I don’t feel like I’ve done a lot worth writing about this week. Its been a busy one don’t get me wrong but not of the fun things to fill these categories! I’ve still got a cold and was up a lot of one night with heartburn so the tiredness has given the week a surreal kind of feel to be honest! This morning I was sure it was Monday again and haven’t quite been able to shift the feeling of now knowing where abouts in the week we are. Anyway lets get on to the things I have loved this week and but an end to this crazy sounding ramble.
This week I…
I’ve still been reading How to Stop Time so nothing new to report here. I think I’ll finish it soon though especially after spending an hour in the middle of the night reading when I couldn’t sleep (or even lie down!) due to bad heartburn. I took some overdue books back to the library and even though I haven’t finished this book or another that I still have out on loan, I couldn’t resist picking up another new book, so I guess I best get reading!
We had a theatre company come in to perform a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime for our children this week and they loved it! It was very loud and incredibly silly and they just couldn’t get enough
One thing I didn’t watch was Celebrity hunted as Tom watched it without me! He said he’s forgotten that we’d watched the first episode together…
On Friday evening I really wanted a bath and I also wanted to knit, so I decided to combine to the two by knitting in the bath (isn’t that just a wild Friday night right there?!?). Taking my main knitting project would have been too risky so I knitted a quick Innocent smoothie hat. This year’s campaign is already over as the hats are in the shops, so I’m making a super early start on next year. It was nice to see a project finished so quickly.
I also made a list of my second trimester essentials which you can read here. Any tips for third trimester essentials gratefully received!
I haven’t baked for quite a while as our temporary kitchen isn’t a joy to be in, but I think that you should bake these Halloween cupcakes which I shared the recipe for this time last year!
Although most of the time I’m too hot, the colder mornings have seen me start the day with my winter coat teemed with a big scarf to hide the fact that said coat doesn’t button up over my bump! I’ve ordered a maternity chunky knit but am starting to think I wont wear it as my own personal hot water bottle paired with over-the-bump maternity bands see me opening the windows at every available opportunity to cool myself down!
Nothing that exciting to report here…
I have to go to work tomorrow. On a Saturday. A Saturday! I know lots of people work on Saturdays but not teachers. Well lots of us work a lot at the weekend but to actually have to go in to work, madness! We have a training day which does mean that we get a week day off next week so school breaks up on Wednesday. But seriously, Saturday! I need my weekends to nap and rest, I don’t know if I can manage 6 days in a row ha!
No plans yet so Sunday but I’m seriously hoping a lie in and a nap feature, this third trimester is a tiring business. I hope you all have a lovely weekend x
I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.
Thanks for popping by,
