Kingsman, How to Stop Time and Sam Smith #LittleLoves

A busy week of long days and observations at work means this week has just flown by, I cant believe its Little Loves times already!

This week I…

Read

A friend at work lent me How to Stop Time by Matt Haig this week. Her friend had lent it to her saying that if she loved the Time Traveller’s Wife (she didn’t, but its my favourite!) then she’d love this. I’m really enjoying it so far but haven’t had as much time as I’d like to read it this week.

I went back to bed with breakfast and The Fourth Trimester Magazine on Sunday morning and really enjoyed the articles and beautiful illustrations too.

Watched

On Saturday night Tom and I actually sat down and watched a film together at home for the first time in ages. We’d thought about going to the cinema whilst we’d been out that day but nothing really took our fancy or seemed worth paying cinema prices for. So we got ourselves some M&S curries (wild Saturday night right there) and headed home to watch the first Kingsman film, since neither of us had seen it before. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit silly and very easy to watch and oh my goodness the pug!

We watched the first episode of the new Apprentice last night (9pm is too late a start to watch it on Wednesdays haha). I always have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it, I just find the candidates so annoying but still seem to be drawn to watching it. I definately prefer the later weeks when there aren’t quite so many people shouting and jostling for attention.

Made

Nothing particularly exciting but I have ordered some wool to try and knit something for the baby! I haven’t picked up my knitting needles for over a year though so I’d say watch this space but it might be quite a big space to watch!

Wore

On Friday morning I didn’t feel baby move at all, I got myself seriously worked up and worried by lunchtime so decided to go to the hospital to get checked out. After half an hour of wearing a foetal heart rate monitor there was a healthy trace and we were reassured that thankfully everything was ok!

Heard

After leaving work and driving to the hospital for the afternoon (basically my journey home) then driving back to work again to set up for the next week, by the time it came to actually driving home for the evening I was seriously exhausted. My journey was perfectly timed to listen to Sam Smith in the Live Lounge though and I loved his set. I had a good old sing along which made the journey pass much quicker.

And lastly…

Tom is away this weekend so I have a relaxing day planned for tomorrow and want to get organised on the blog-min front too. Then on Sunday I’ve convinced two friends from work that they want to visit the new Ikea with me!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.

  1. So relieved that baby is ok, you did the right thing going in to get checked out.
Love the sound of that book. I too loved the Time Travellers Wife so I’ll have to add this one to my ever growing list! xx

  2. So glad the baby is ok, that’s never easy having that fear of something awful. Good to get checked rather than be sick with worry. I will have to add this to my list. Sounds ace I loved the TTW. Happy week ahead. #littleloves

  3. Just read the blog with Gran & Grandad, who spotted a spelling mistake….. No flies on him, yet! Only lumps on his back where Gran is hitting him in bed.
