Knitting, Napping and IKEA #LittleLoves

Happy Friday! I’ve had a bit of a hectic week of midwife and physio appointments, an hour and 45 minute journey to work due to traffic and meetings which mean I’ve been in and out of class all week, which has probably confused my class as much as me! On Saturday I woke up with a cold and its lingered all week so I’ve made the effort to leave work a little earlier on a couple of evenings to give me the chance to recover. It also meant that my weekend involved a lot of sitting around, knitting and napping while Tom was away, although I did make it out to IKEA with friends for a couple of hours on Sunday.

This week I…

I’ve still been reading How to Stop Time from last week, I’m really enjoying it but I’ve not done as much reading as usual as I’ve been very tired in the evenings and have been splitting my free time between knitting and reading! Instructions on how to read knitting patterns have also been on my reading list this week as I’ve never followed a pattern with a drawn panel before and I didn’t have a clue where to start.

While Tom was away at the weekend I made the most of being able to watch a girly film and watched What to Expect When You’re Expecting on Saturday night. I have seen it before and didn’t make it to the end this time before I fell asleep.

We watched Celebrity Hunted together and I wasn’t expecting to like it as the normal series has never appealed but I’ve actually found myself looking forward to the next episode.

I’ve made a start on knitting a blanket for baby, I wont mention it again until its done so if you never hear anything more about it it was a fail! Haha. I’m a total novice knitter and all I’ve really made before are some Innocent Smoothie Hats and a couple of human sized bobble hats too! So wish me luck…

I’ve really enjoyed wearing this black dress from George Maternity for work as its super comfy and I always seem to get lots of compliments on it too!

Have you heard I’ve reached my third trimester?!? You can read my 28 pregnancy week update here.

And lastly…

Another weekend with not a lot planned this weekend which suits me just fine! I’d like to go and look at car seats as fitting one in the back of my Fiat 500 is proving to be a little harder than I was expecting…

What do you have planned? I hope you have a lovely weekend x

I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.

  1. I was just the same with Celebrity Hunted. I found the ordinary one dull but for some reason I really enjoyed the celebrity one, I’m so pleased we stumbled on it.
I love a good IKEA trip. Our nearest is an hour away, boo, so we mostly order online. We’re getting one nearby soon and I absolutely cannot wait, though my husband is dreading it! haha
    Have a lovely week xx
