Unlike last week when I felt like there’d only been 5 minutes between Little Loves posts, this week felt like such a long one. I had a really lovely day in Birmingham on Saturday with my friend Sarah, a little bit of shopping, quite a bit of food and a whole load of catching up. Sunday was spent looking around houses again and relaxing.
I was out with friends for dinner Monday, went for a run with friends Tuesday, cinema and dinner again on Wednesday then a late-night meeting Thursday. No wonder I’m exhausted and very ready for a weekend!
This week I…
Read
Small Great Things. I could hardly put it down. I loved it. I’m a huge fan of Jodi Picoult and the way she writes. I love how you get the story from many different view points, reliving lots of moments through the eyes of several characters, and that there is always a twist at the end just when you think everything has been worked out. It was a really though provoking read and I’d really recommend it.
Watched
A tale as old as time… Oh my goodness how good is Beauty and the Beast. I LOVED it and cant wait to see it again. I forgot how such a lovely story it is and how many great songs there are too. I was worried that I just wouldn’t love it as much as the original, or that Emma Watson wouldn’t do Belle justice, but it was just perfect.
Made
A display at school with the rest of the reception team, we’re pretty pleased with how it turned out!
Wore
My running kit, trying to make it a habit!
Heard
The horribly sad news about the terror attack in London. Its so awful and scary and overwhelming. I cant even get my head around it. I guess in weeks like these its especially important to feel grateful for our loved ones and the little things that brighten up our days.
Then yesterday we were talking about what we’d like to be when we grow up and a little girl in my class said ‘a teacher just like you’ and that really warmed my heart (the same child who complimented me on my moustache a few weeks ago, all is forgiven!)
And lastly…
I’m off to my parents’ this weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
I hope you all have a good week. I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.
Thanks for popping by,
Kimberley x
