I spent the weekend with a university friend in Belfast. I rushed to the airport straight from work, literally just making it in time, to find that my flight was delayed! But I got there in the end and kind of felt a bit proud of myself for (literally) flying solo! (I have flown by myself before but it was a few years ago). We had a lovely time being tourists in her home city, we even went on the open top sightseeing tour bus! I’ve been meaning to go over for years and am so pleased I finally did and got to see her house and explore new places.
The working week has been another hectic one so I don’t feel like I have a great deal to say this week! I haven’t particularly made or read or done anything new and exciting. I should probably keep a note of little things throughout the week so I don’t forget by the time it goes to Thursday night!
This week I…
Read
I’ve only just finished The Forever Girl from two weeks ago. I just finished it last night and haven’t started anything else new yet. I really enjoyed it and would really recommend it. A love story but in an unconventional sense and different to other love stories I’ve read before. Now that I’ve finished it you can expect something else in this section next week hooray.
Watched
The Christmas light switch on at Victoria Square in Belfast (totally by accident!). Ahhhhh so pretty and so festive, it made me want to get the decorations up here. I literally love Christmas so so much.
I haven’t watched much TV this week at all, but I have been catching up with YouTube videos. I like to watch while I’m getting ready in the morning and when I cook in the evening, its like having someone chat to me but I don’t have to talk back!
Made
Pretty patterns with skittles! We had a science week at school and this was one of the experiments I did with my reception class. I’m sharing a post about some of the other things we did on Sunday as my class loved them and we had so much fun.
Wore
So many layers! Who goes on an open top tour bus in Belfast in November? Well we did! It even went on a dual carriage way, I’m not sure I’ve ever been so cold in my life haha.
I also wore these pyjama leggings that I bought at Abercrombie on honeymoon in San Francisco. I literally love them more than I think is normal for an item of loungewear, they’re just so comfy and cosy and lovely!
Heard
My class all seemed very emotional on Thursday afternoon, there were lots of tears! I overhead one little girl saying to her friend ‘We’re all just very tired and its raining outside’. Perfectly summed up the situation.
And lastly…
We’re off on our travels again this evening! I promise we’re not always away, it just feels like it at the moment. We’re heading to London to stay with Tom’s sister but coming back Saturday night to have the whole day at home on Sunday, I’m really craving some time in our house!
I’m linking up with Coffee Work Sleep Repeat again for this week’s #littleloves, I can’t wait to see what everyone else has been up to this week too!
Thanks for popping by,
Kimberley x
You must of froze on the open top bus tour! But you do look rather snuggly under those layers! Have a wonderful weekend xx
I LOVE those PJ bottoms! They look like my dream loungewear. Might have to take a cheeky browse of the Abercrombie website… Hope you enjoy your trip and have a great weekend! #LittleLoves
I love your PJ bottoms, they look so cosy. And well done for the bus tour, we did an open top tour in Madrid in April and we thought that was cold!
I love hearing about your reception class, my little boy just started in reception and it’s lovely to hear a teachers perspective. xxx
Looks like you had a lovely time visiting your friend – the Christmas lights look lovely! I really must try that skittles experiment with Parker, he’s only two but I think it would be fun to try. What is it about the rain that changes kids moods? I work in a secondary school and rain/windy days literally whip the kids into a frenzy! Enjoy your weekend xx
Ahhh… Belfast! Such a beautiful city!! My parents are Northern Irish so it always feels like going home! The skittles experiment looks fun! I think I need to try it with my kiddos! Oh, and nothing beats cosy, comfy PJs!! #littleloves
