Not to sound like a broken record, but I’m feeling ever so tired again this week! Being back at work really is taking some getting used to. I forgot how short your evenings feel and how hard it is not to be on constant countdown to the weekend! We had a slower paced weekend at home, still getting things done around the house but taking it a bit easier. Tom carried on with the plaster boarding and I vacuum packed my pre-pregnancy wardrobe to put away until next year!
This week I…

The cutest card from my sister with the loveliest message inside!
Watched
We took bump on their first cinema outing on Saturday to watch Wind River. Its about a murder on an Indian Reservation. We needed a break from home renovations and I was gifted a voucher as an end of year present from a child last year so despite never having heard of the film before we decided to watch it anyway! I enjoyed the film, unless I’m at the cinema I never really switch off and watch something properly without doing other things or scrolling on my phone, so I enjoyed the escapism. Tom thought I was pretty slow though and that the suddenly revealed what had happened really quickly with no suspense. I think he’s probably right!
Made
On Sunday I made a cottage pie, loosely based on Joe Wick’s recipe. It has courgette, carrot, onion and spinach in the mince and I served it with broccoli and green beans so felt good about the amount of veggies we were eating in one meal!
Wore
I now have two pairs of maternity pyjamas and I think they’re my favourite purchase! Super comfy. I’d wear them all day every day if it was acceptable. I had to team pyjamas with a cosy jumper at the weekend because it was just so cold!
I also wore a different kind of mask to last week during my new Sunday night ritual of listening to hypno-birthing tracks in the bath!
Today I’ll be wearing my jeans to work as we’re raising money for Jeans for Genes day.
Heard
Baby’s heartbeat again at my 25 week midwife appointment. Its really is my favourite sound.
I also heard a little girl in my class saying ‘ahhh baby’ as she stroked my bump, she then went over to her friend said ‘she’s got a baby AND boobies! Ha! Kids just say the funniest things.
And lastly…
I’m going over to my parents’ house this weekend for early birthday celebrations for my sister and to continue the clear out of my childhood bedroom to make room for a double bed for when me, Tom and the baby stay!
I’m linking up with the lovely Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat for this week’s #LittleLoves and am looking forward to reading about what everyone else has been loving this week too.
Thanks for popping by,
Kimberley x
Your cottage pie looks absolutely delicious, I’ll definitely have to give that recipe a whirl. I’ve not come across Wind River either but it sounds like an interesting premise, shame it was a little slow going! Enjoy your week 🙂 #littleloves
